The Sundre The Sundre Flying Club supports aviation in the area and the Sundre Airport CFN7. The Club also looks after the Red Deer Forestry airstrip CFR7 near Mountain Aire Lodge. See the CANADA FLIGHT SUPPLEMENT.Sundre Airport

The Sundre Airport has a lighted 4,285 + 512 extentions = 4797ft X 75 hard surface runway 15-33 can accommodate aircraft up to 50,000 lbs such as Bizjet Cessna Citation as well as Twin-Otter, Beech King Air, Dash 8, DC-3, Convair, etc. The 2400ft x 75 grass/gravel cross strip 06-24 is available for strong cross winds.

The Terminal Building is accessible by entering ATF first digit, followed by second two digits together. Washrooms, phone, and Wi-Fi. "Under wing" camping and grass tie-downs.

Local weather is available online from the airport located Environment Canada weather station, although not certified for aviation.

The airport is 2.5km to the edge of the Town of Sundre where taxi service, hotels, restaurants are available. There is no courtesy car yet. Transportation needs can be supplied by the Sundre Taxi 403-638-8500.

Self serve Avgas 100LL is available for members and visitors. Preference given to cheques but also accepting Visa, Mastercard. Instructions on pumps.

Flying Club Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30pm in the airport terminal bldg. You're Welcome to come and talk aviating or what's going on at the Sundre Airport.
